Description
original here https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2707156
going to make a more interlocking version for later maybe for 1/4 inch threadrod
had to make the gear smaller and the motor mount a bit wider for v2. still waiting to see if it works. will post pictures soon
had to drill the 9/64 stepper motor mount holes for the 1/8 x 3/4 inch bolts , where the stepper motor round hole insert needs a quick fileing or trim along the top and bottom so it fits in snug
with the new gear it moves pretty good, file down the printed side because usually first layer is fatter, might make some more mounting holes on the motor mount for extra things.
also take caution these motors do get too hot with continuous use could melt. might try and make a conduction duct to pull in more cool air faster ) ( some say use 120mA to keep the temperatures down. maybe there is a temp difference between the 5 and 12 volt version of these steppers
