Description

I needed a knob for a dado jig that I was building. It allows clamping of the two parallel boards that guide the router. It uses a 5/16" carriage bolt and nut. the nut is pressed into the cavity. It should be tight as is but can be glued if needed. I used PETG for my knob. You can also use a hex head bolt instead of a nut on all four designs.

I also added a design for a larger knob that I made for my metal bandsaw tension control. It uses a 10mm hex head bolt.

Then I needed a knob for a 1/4" 20 bolt for another fixture so I modified the design for a 1/4" hex head bolt.

I added a 3/8 bolt knob too.

These four knobs can be scaled to fit whatever size bolt or nut you need. For example, I scaled the 10mm version down to work with the 5/16" bolt. I then changed the hole diameter. The 1/4" knob could be scaled smaller. The 3/8" knob can be scaled to 1/2" for example.
