UPDATED (11/10/2016)

  • Provided two lids. The threads were about 15 degrees offset rotation-wise first, but it felt too tight, so I made the 25 degree offset which was perfect. However, after using it for a while the threads on the container loosened up and the 15 degree offset now actually fits perfectly. My advice: Just use the 15 degree offset and work it until it's loose. If it's too tight use the 25 degree offset.

This is the first thing I created on my own.

It's a hexagonal container about 60mm across and 50mm tall. There is a threaded lid that screws on. I've printed this twice on two different brands of PLA (Hatchbox and Fillamentium) and both work, but the fillamentium is slightly tighter. The Hatchbox came out perfect.

The first model has a single thread and takes about two full turns to screw on (Single Thread). The second model takes about three full turns (Double Thread). Both work, but I thought three turns was a little excessive.
