US Mail Box Auto Flag

Auto Flag for your mail box.
This will automatically raise the flag when you mail man opens the mail box.
It fits standard US mail box with flag. (see Photo)
3D print from ABS for longevity in the weather.
You will require some additional hardware.

1. A spring from an old pen (5 mm od x 30 mm long).
2. Two x 6 mm bolts that are 20 mm long (to replace the production bolts).
3. Some 1.5 mm nylon ripcord.

There are 3 parts to this design,
MailBoxDoor
This is secured to the outside of the door using one of the 6 mm bolts Print is same color as the door.

MailBoxInner
This goes against the mail box and locates in the existing flag holes.

MailBoxOuter
This houses the return spring and fits over the MailBoxInner part.
The spring is used to retract the ripcord when the door is closed.
The ripcord connects this part to the MailBoxDoor part, and it raises the flag when rotated.
Adjust Flag bolt to create a resistance on the flag so that it stays up. (less is best)
