Beschreibung
This is my first ground-up design and I hope you'll try it or improve it any way you can. I used Tinkercad and this was a great learning experience. I used Cura to slice it and my Ender 3 to print.
The pieces are all the same scale. So, you can print them as-is or scaled to any size you like.
Print two legs. There is no left and right.
I designed everything except the sword, which I borrowed from SAMSVE: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1073388
You'll have to scale the sword to meet the scale requirements of your finished nutcracker. Or, you can put whatever you prefer in the right hand.
I've included two different sized pins:
- The long one attaches the arms to the body and holds the moving mouth part (lever). (Print one)
The short one connects and aligns the head to the body and the hat to the head. (Print 3)
- The legs have their own pins designed as part of the object
If you scale your nutcracker, remember to scale your pins, too.
You might need to sand the pins or de-burr the holes to get a good fit. Or, you can resize them as required.
25 Nov, 2020: I just added a crown and scepter for some variety. There's also a decorative cross that fits the top of the crown and scepter. It's better to print it as a separate piece flat on your build plate. These pieces are all scaled the same as the rest of the parts.
29 Nov, 2020: I just added a two-part scepter model to make it easier to put it in the hand. If you print the original one-piece scepter you'll have to cut the staff to glue it into the hand.
I also added a crown with the pin hole on the bottom to pin to the head. Unfortunately, the pin hole isn't exactly centered. So, you have to rotate the crown a little to get the correct alignment. It's pretty easy to do and you'll understand what I mean when you put it on his head. I use 2-part epoxy to assemble mine and find that it works really well even without the pins.
