"The Object" is a an enigmatic sculpture by legendary design group Hipgnosis http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hipgnosis, featured on the "Presence" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Presence_(album) album. The original was painted into photographs, then an actual object was created and photographed for the back cover and promotional materials.
