Description
These are Array Rods. Similar to Cuisenaire rods and other color-coded length models, array rods are centimeter based. On one side is the numeral representing the rod's value and on the other is a row/column of circles. They were created for 2nd and 3rd grade mathematics to facilitate learning multiplication and division with rows and columns in mind. However, they are also very useful with 1st grade students in learning to compose/decompose numbers for addition and subtraction.
