UPDATE 1/9/2021: Someone pointed out that the outside edges didn't line up, which was correct. I initially did these borders quickly and kind of punted on making the outside edges nice. So, I redesigned the borders to actually line up correctly, and made them a bit less wide so they use less filament. The updates files have the "v2" in the name, so you should use those. The previous models also still work.

ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: These are replacement borders for the standard Settlers of Catan board game. I was tired of trying to keep all the hex tiles in place while playing because the borders that came with the game had taken some abuse and warped over time. With these printed borders the game is much easier to setup and keep in one spot. I can even move the whole board around without any tiles slipping or coming loose.

These borders are 2mm thick, so while slightly thicker than the standard borders (which are 1mm stiff cardstock), they still fit inside the original box along with all the other pieces. You'll need to print 6 straight borders and 6 corners to get enough pieces for the standard game border.

The points where the borders lock together also has a little wiggle room, so these pieces aren't meant to fit exactly together, just be held mostly together.

You could probably print as many as you like to hold more hexes, or arrange them in a non-symmetric hexagon since each border portion is split into two.
