Ruby Diamond Gem

This is a Diamond/Ruby/Gem model I did in solidworks as a learning excercise and 3D printed as a single shell. It came out amazingly well considering the Makerbot Translucent Red PLA has now been sitting on my old Thing-O-Matic for several years now.

Note these only take about 7 mins to print each - so they are cool for a quick demo piece when talking to a class about 3D printing technology.
