Descrizione
The Teenage Engineering Pocket Operator is a pretty cool device. And in my opinion does not lack in anything, except for some type of button lock.
Made this shell to prevent the PO to start playing unintentionally in my pocket, which happens quite often. Since most of the sound from the speaker is directed towards the back of the unit, I used the battery cover to channel the sound towards the user instead.
I used Excefil PLA for the parts except for the buttons that are printed with Ninja Flex. The button plate were printed with transparent PLA to make LED´s shines through.
For me the Button_09 was a perfect fit, but I added some alternatives for you to try. I found that printing a batch of buttons rather then printing one by one, gave me better results due to the heat distribution.
You will need to drill out the screw holes for the proper diameter of the screws. I used 4x 2.5mm screws (+nuts) to hold it together.
Added some extra material around the audio jacks to prevent warping, that needs to be cut away. Also had to do some after treatment with a file, exacto knife and some sandpaper to get the perfect fit around the unit.
**Update 20016-02-16 Redesigned the battery cover to make the after treatment easier.
Had some issues getting the buttons to work with PLA (non flex material). So I redesigned the "Front_shell", "Lid" and added some new buttons for them. These versions have "PLA" as a prefix in the file names. If you have trouble with the buttons, try these.
