Descrizione

This project, based for my senior project in high school, is the culmination of 9 months worth of work from both design and development. Starting at the beginning, I started with various designs and found a similar idea on a forum (http://www.overclock.net/t/1537934/scratch-build-node-3d-printed-case) so I have to give credit to the creator of that for giving me a idea for the design, however the whole model and print was done myself on a Makerbot replicator 1 and fusion 360. I currently have no problem with the design, as it is my current PC setup (image above.) The list of parts needed and steps to get the files complete is below, but in my opinion is fairly strait forward at this point. I'll be constantly updating this for the next week or so FYI.

Fans Mounting : (4) 120 mm fans for the top / mount and a single 80mm fan for the rear panel.

Heat Inserts for Holes : https://www.mcmaster.com/#93365a154/=16gfb0a (I just used a soldering iron).
Screws for Heat Inserts : https://www.mcmaster.com/#90604a263/=16gfb8t.

Motherboard Type : Mini-ITX.

Power Supply Type : ATX (Full Sized).

Storage Options : Was able to put 2 SSD's on the front and 1 hard drive in the back attached my glue to the motherboard tray.

I/0 : http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-5-2-USB-3-0-Port-HUB-Type-C-HD-Audio-PC-Floppy-Expansion-Front-Panel-Rack-/371589417580?hash=item5684748a6c (Ended up just not using the metal base and finding some screws and attaching the i/o to the motherboard tray to hold it in place).

Side Panels : PDF files are included for these to be laser cut, I used birch for the majority of it and a sheet of acrylic for the window.

LED Strips : https://www.amazon.com/Satechi-Remote-Control-Computer-ST-CLEDLS/dp/B00QAX8YPY/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1487717082&sr=8-5&keywords=computer+led+strips (Used these and mounted with random pieces of wood from cutting the panels and super glue).

UPDATE:
The PDF's as well as their .step counterparts for the laser cut side panels have been posted. I left the front panel blank so that anyone can add their own custom design to it with minimum effort.
