Descrizione

Very stable rugged and precise bench drill press based on LML9B linear rail and 28x47mm motor from aliexpress. I designed it primarily for drilling PCBs but also to be as stable and precise as possible for other applications. I cant feel or see any backlash even when applying force.

Height is adjustable and customizeable (you can use rods of any length). Drill travel distance (depth) is 10mm with 40mm LML9B rail, but you can install longer ones and the distance will be limited by lever angle ("upper guard" part also has to be modified tn that case). In the current desigm rail length of probably up to 100mm can be used, anything longer than 55mm will just stick out from the bottom of "main" part.

Material is PETG CF from Eryone, it looks very good, has high stiffness and low warping. "main" and "base" parts should be printed with high or 100% infill.

You will need 10mm tube or rod and 8x1mm tube, m3x4x4.2 or m3x5x4.2 threaded heat inserts, various m3 screws, m3 10mm standoffs and a spring. 15x2mm aluminium profile in the "lower base" is probably not needed and optional. I also drilled small holes for m2 screws in lever parts to make it less flimsy but it does not affect operation anyways, also you can glue it instead. "motor holder rack" are glued to "motor holder" or welded to it with dichloromethane.

arduino nano slot and mounting holes on the back are for smart motor pid control system from AlexGyver: https://alexgyver.ru/drill-pid/
