Beschreibung
This is a kit to build your own floating wind platform ! They are designed to serve as platforms for the NREL 5MW model from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7057563
Here are guidelines to assemble different types of platforms :
Semi submersible platform
- print four copies of "modular_float_buoy"
- print three copies of "pin 51mm"
- connect one buoy to the three others, at a 120° angle
- use the "pin 11mm" to connect the wind turbine
Tension leg platform
- print one copy of "modular_float_buoy"
- print three copies of "pin 101mm" , three copies of "modular_float_mooring_head" and three copies of "modular_float_fairlead"
- print the sea floor from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7165848
- attach a string from each fairlead to each mooring head
- set the three mooring head on the three 101mm pins, at a 120° angle with one another
- attach the fairlead to the sea-bed
- fill water in your tank so that 4/5 of the buoy is submerged
- use the "pin 11mm" to connect the wind turbine
SPAR type platform
- print two copies of "modular_float_buoy" , connect them on top of one another with the "pin 11mm"
- print one copy of "modular_float_buoy_heavy" , add some ballast to it so it weights approx 200g, you can seal the ballast hole with "half_cone_10mm". Use the the "pin_2mm" to connect it to the upper buoy
- use the "pin 11mm" to connect to the wind turbine tower
Invent other platforms
You can also invent any design of your liking, using ballast, legs and mooring lines. The piece "modular_float_hexa_buoy" can be used to extend your design capabilities by allowing 60° angles.
