UPDATE: Files for this clock are uploaded. Let me know if you have any questions.
A true remix of the popular TheGoofy mechanical clock. I took the gearing and reconfigured it to work as a pendulum controlled format.
Improvements:
I have added a few improvements to the drive system, the biggest being 3x7x3 bearings on most of the gears to reduce friction down to a minimum. The entire system uses 3mm rods and most of the system uses 3mm x 60mm rods which you can purchase off Amazon so very little cutting is needed to assemble the clock.
I added a second drive gear connecting to the winding drum to reduce the amount of torque that a single gear was creating in the system.
I increased the thickness of the perimeter of a few of the gears slightly so printing would be somewhat improved.
I am currently re-evaluating the re-winding process to improve the efficiency of the process.
The clock face is designed so that up to 4 colors can be used during the printing process by switching filaments at specific print levels.
I am currently running 7lbs of weight to drive the clock. I will most likely be redoing the pendulum weight design since when the clock weight travels downward the pendulum has caught up on the weight cable on a few occasions.
The only lube I have used on this is a little white lithium on the escapement wheel tines so the pendulum escapement fork glides back and forth smoothly. I also added a tiny bit more to the hour/minute/seconds gear shafts so they would not have much friction between them.
